But time sure flies by.
Well, at first it did, but then it kind of stopped.
You see, my wife went to the old country to visit her family.
I may have mentioned it in my previous post, but who knows, I do not read my own crap once i put it here, and my memory is so poor, I can not remember what I had for lunch yesterday, let alone what I wrote a month ago.
It is three weeks today since she flew off, and there's four more to go.
I miss her very much. And since she left I feel kind of lost.
Much like Robinson Crusoe on his deserted island.
I know there's some kids roaming the house but I do not see them much, they live in their own rooms, facebooking and whatnot, and every now and then one of them ( I think it is the younger one, whatever his name) comes to the living room, bushy and unkept, sticks his nose in the fridge or in the kitchen drawer, picks whatever food resembling article is still left around and scatters back to his cave. I think I saw another one too, digging through a laundry basket and assessing the state of discarded cloting, looking for something still wearable.
Through this hardship I came to realize that I am a horrible housewife and even worse mother.
And it hurts.
I cooked twice since my wife left, once it was some eggs and sausages, another time I tried to cook some steak. Eggs are best not to be mentioned, and kids' feedback on the steak was that it was the worst they ever had, which I kind of agree with, but they still had to eat it.
I think they went through half a bottle of barbecue sauce each, just to disguise it's original taste.
I work from home most of the time now, so I do not have to pay too much attention to my personal hygiene which is a good thing, because I don't.
I did some laundry about a week ago, spent about five minutes fiddling with the washing machine until it somehow realized that I am an idiot and thankfully turned itself on.
I forgot to empty it though, so clothes pickled inside for about 2 days, and then i remembered and took them out and onto the clothing line, but just now I have remembered that I never took them back into the house.
Well, I better cut this one short then, as I have some clothes to pick off the line.
So as a token of my apology for not posting this long, here's some random girl sketches and speedpaints I did here and there.
Some are nice, others not that much, but hey I still like them because they keep me sane.
As of now I will try to post every couple of days, as I have no excuse not to.
I will chuck in whatever is on the random papers I doodle on around the house, so it is not going to be much, but should be better than than nothing. At least I will feel more alive.
Cheers to all,
Milenko
